St Thomas' Hospital, Stockport

Originally a workhouse, weirdly opening it's doors on Christmas Day in 1841, the building became a hospital in 1948. Treating mainly older people and psychiatric patients, the hospital closed down in 2003. The site has been bought by Stockport College, and the central building with the clock tower has been restored. But the other buildings around the site are victim to serious decay.
